So What Is The Zeus Trojan?

Not  many people have heard of it but it is causing problems every day.

Ok Zeus is a horrible trojan bot it will sit on your computer and can be made to hi-jack your requests to websites from things like ebay to paypal to your online banking and even record your credit card details when you enter them. once it has done this it will send what it has captured to a C&C (command & control server) where ID thief's can access it and use the stolen details to gain access to your accounts.

The Identity thief's use something called a Cryptor to make the file FUD (Fully UnDetected) which means your anti virus wont know its a virus. They then spread this using file sharing services like torrents and p2p, Emails with attachment, drive-by-downloads.

So what can you do to protect yourself?

Make sure you have a upto date anti virus and make sure you are using a firewall.

Don't Install or run anything if you don't know where it has come from.

Always check you are on the site you are supposed to be on.

Make sure your passwords are different for each of the logins you have. (I will be writing a tutorial on this very soon)

Hope that has gave you some information that will be helpful. Comments welcome.
